Image & Media Fields Reference

Shows fields that differ in reference to Image & File Fields

All of the regular fields for Post Fields apply to the Image Fields, because Image Fields are merely posts of type attachment. The important fields that serve special function are listed below:

  • post_content: Relates to the CAPTION for a Media Field
  • post_excerpt: Relates to the ALT tag for a Media Field
  • post_parent: This tracks the actual POST that the image is attached to.
